The future mainstream of industrial boilers—gas-fired thermal oil heaters
To further promote the implementation of cleaner production and strengthen industrial pollution prevention, the State Environmental Protection Administration is focusing on addressing pollution issues in the industrial sector. Reducing energy consumption and improving energy efficiency are key strategies for tackling environmental challenges, as the primary source of industrial pollution stems from the widespread use of coal-fired boilers. The extensive reliance on these boilers has led to severe smog conditions in many of China’s major industrial cities. In response to national directives, significant efforts are being made to phase out coal-fired boilers and improve the ecological environment, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for people. Yine Boiler, aligning with the national call to eliminate coal-fired boilers, has invested heavily in developing innovative gas-fired thermal oil heaters, demonstrating remarkable dedication to this cause. Coal-fired boilers will gradually be phased out of industrial production. Currently, while electric boilers offer a pollution-free alternative, their high operating costs make them economically unviable for most users—many factories simply cannot afford the expense of electric heating systems coupled with thermal oil circulation. On the other hand, heavy oil and light diesel boilers strike a balance in terms of cost but still fail to fully resolve environmental concerns, continuing to contribute to air pollution. Biomass pellet boilers, though slightly more expensive than gas-fired models, remain less efficient overall compared to natural gas options. Thus, when considering alternatives to coal-fired boilers, natural gas boilers—often referred to as "clean energy"—emerge as the clear winner. However, ensuring that natural gas boilers achieve optimal heating efficiency remains a critical challenge following their adoption.

Implementation and Promotion Policies for Gas-Driven Thermal Oil Furnaces
The gas-fired thermal oil furnace, also known as a gas-fired organic heat carrier furnace, primarily runs on fuels such as natural gas and city gas. Replacing traditional gas-fired thermal oil furnaces can significantly reduce flue gas emissions while greatly improving thermal efficiency. As a result, these eco-friendly boilers have been strongly promoted by the government in recent years. Currently, environmental protection authorities across most regions have ordered the temporary shutdown of older coal-fired boilers, pending their replacement. Meanwhile, businesses that proactively respond to the government’s call by switching to gas-fired thermal oil furnaces are eligible for incentive subsidies. Since the policy was implemented in 2016, numerous enterprises in Henan Province have already taken decisive steps to phase out conventional coal-fired boilers, successfully achieving energy savings and emission reductions.
